MASON CITY – A Mason City woman who pled guilty to credit card fraud and has been wanted since October was arrested this week on a warrant for allegedly violating her probation for a second time.
Cerro Gordo deputies picked up Julie Ann Melton, age 39, and brought her to jail. She now awaits a January 9 hearing on her probation revocation charges.
Melton pled guilty to the crime of unauthorized use of a credit card, an aggravated misdemeanor, on April 12th, 2013 and received a deferred judgement, community service and a fine, along with a year of probation.
Melton is also facing drunk driving charges out of Polk county at this time. She has waived her right to a speedy trial in that case.
