Iowa ranks the #8 top state for high physician salaries.
It’s supply and demand. They have to pay more to physicians in Iowa because they would rather live in other states with better amenities and weather. Mason City residents depend on great healthcare, and that starts with having the best doctors in our hospital, just as Mercy said this week when they announced support for the Renaissance.
The Renaissance Project may not be perfect, but no project ever will be. It is time to vote yes and OK this new development. The benefits outweigh the negatives. Show the world Mason City is looking to the future and leaving the past failures behind.
Together, we can build a new future.

Mason city needs “Holistic Healers”, Rockefeller invented medicine is a lie, people need to look at food as medicine U.S. used to practice “Homeopathic” now “Allopathic “, https://youtu.be/X6J_7PvWoMw.
Agree the Roman Empire is and never will be “perfect”, so why would any conscious mind keep feeding it, 1.) The proposed “scheme” idea is going to serve the “rich” 2.) The monies that are being used to build this Roman Empire extension were and are being extracted/forced by people who have no opt out option, 3.) The Roman Empire has made a law to tax the serfs and than use that $ to build their kingdom, 4.) Why would anyone pay $ to an entity that is going to compete with their business, 5.) They have already proven to be defeated 2k years ago by Christ, no Golden Age, no Age of Aquarius. People need and rightfully deserve to keep their $, all of the tax monies need to be returned to the tax payers, fascism was conquered by Christ, people need to see through the veneer the sorcerers are presenting and just say no, evidence look at Southbridge Mall, million”s in debt who could get away with running a business like that and not be closed years ago answer no one, the Decker House parking lot is alway’s empty, they are building their kingdom off of peoples silence, and their lively hood there used to be unique privately owned shops those are gone replaced by a large garish empty building, and people want to give them more time and $, let the rich build their own false kingdom ‘m standing with Christ and the meek.
Repent. Bada boom bada bing.
You want good doctors, then give them decent working conditions and reason for wanting to stay in mason city. Shopping, entertainment, arts etc. all important to many people. Step out of this box you’ve made in mc and get with the program. Rochester mn has done this and now have a lot of people doctoring, shopping, attending concerts, dinning etc. you need to make mason city a destination for people.
Having worked at Mercy my wife said a lot of GOOD doctors leave Mercy because of working conditions and quotas they have to follow – if they don’t bring in a certain amount of dollars for the corporation each month they have money deducted from their pay. – PS – Mercy has some good doctors and some bad ones – ever heard the term deadly hollows ?
Does this sound familiar?

What an awful topic for an article. Money for Doctors. How selfish is that. I get tired of hearing how stupid we all are and how smart the Doctors and elitists are. Well, it ain’t so! Vote NO!
Think a little harder and longer about what this article is really saying. Growth industries (like medical services) are clamoring for qualified employees. The city which invests in amenities that makes the town a nice, fun place to live will be attractive to growth industries because they can recruit and retain employees. These are the towns that will grow.
Cities that do nothing and continue to turn opportunity away will continue to slowly wither away.
I don’t depend on Mason City for my health Care. The Mercy has never provided me anything good. I have a great Doctor and all my heath care needs are done at the Mayo Clinic. I trust them far more than I would the Mercy Hospital.
We already have voted no and all of my neighbors are voting no also. This whole project sucks.
Like the doctors want to go ice skating! Give me a break. A break is what Mercy wants. It’s counting on people breaking body parts. Lol
Make Mercy pay taxes and then they will get a vote.
Your negativity is why Mason City will never progress into the future.
Then let Mercy pay for the amenities.
And you will pay Mercy when you are sick.
You mean like I already do?
Amen, pilgrim !
