SUMNER — Bill Lehmkuhl, 90, of Sumner, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at Hillcrest Living Campus.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Sumner. A reception will begin at 5 p.m. at Meadowbrook Country Club. Graveside services will take place Monday, September 28, at 11 a.m. in Union Mound Cemetery, with the Rev. Tracy Hinkel officiating.
Born near Westgate on July 21, 1936, Billy George Lehmkuhl graduated from Maynard High School in 1954. He married Verla Heller in December 1958, and they raised six children.
Bill spent 33 years with John Deere before retiring in 1991. He later worked at Meadowbrook, where he belonged for 50 years. Fishing, golf and casino outings were favorite pastimes.
Survivors include four children, Brad, Wendall, Lori and Billy; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four siblings. His wife, sons Randy and Russell, and grandson Thaddeus preceded him in death.
