For days, her status was “Duty Status-Whereabouts Unknown.” They found her remains in the rubble. And after all that — after her family waited days not knowing if she was alive or dead — the Pentagon took her name off the list. Like she never happened. Like the missile never hit. Like the “ceasefire” held.
1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan. 25. Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Survived the initial strike. Died the next day from his injuries. His parents said he accomplished more in 25 years than most people do in a lifetime. His government couldn’t even let him stay on a website.
Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton. 30. Fayetteville, North Carolina. Nearly a decade in the Army. Killed dismantling a downed Iranian attack drone in Iraq. Not in combat. Doing cleanup. Taking apart the thing that was supposed to kill someone else. He left behind a wife. A 6-year-old son. A 4-year-old daughter. A little girl who will spend the rest of her life without her father because he was doing his job in a war his president won’t call a war, in a conflict his Congress won’t authorize, and now his Pentagon won’t even count him.
HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED:
On Wednesday, the Pentagon’s casualty website listed 18 American deaths in Operation Epic Fury — the war with Iran that started February 28. On Thursday, it said 14. Four names gone. Four faces erased. The Pentagon called it “temporary data disruptions.”
Data disruptions. That’s what they called Angel Rampersad’s remains.
The real reason — confirmed by three military officials to the New York Times — is that these four died AFTER Trump declared a “ceasefire” in April.
A ceasefire so real that Iranian missiles are landing on American barracks in July. A ceasefire so legitimate that 100 servicemembers have been injured since July 7th alone. A ceasefire that exists for one reason and one reason only: to reset the War Powers Act clock.
The law says the president has 60 days to fight without congressional authorization. Sixty days from February 28 is May 1. May 1 came and went. No authorization. No vote. No debate.
So the White House sent a letter to Congress saying the ceasefire “terminated” the hostilities. New conflict, new clock, no accountability.
Thomas Massie — a REPUBLICAN from Kentucky — said it plainly: “The Pentagon is pretending there have been two Iran wars separated by a brief ceasefire.” He’s one of only FOUR Republicans in the entire House who voted to enforce the law.
Four Republicans. In the ENTIRE party of flags and eagles and “freedom isn’t free.” Four.
And the cherry on top of this disgrace:
THE SAME DAY those names were removed from the Pentagon website, Donald Trump flew to Dover Air Force Base. He stood on the tarmac in front of cameras. He watched four flag-draped transfer cases come off a plane. He told the press: “I had a very sad day yesterday. Four great American patriots killed.” He used the number 18.
His own Pentagon said 14.
He saluted their coffins for the cameras and then let his Defense Department pretend they don’t count.
You brought them home for the photo. You deleted them for the paperwork.

Where are the “law and order” people? The War Powers Act is the LAW. The House has voted TWICE to enforce it. The president is ignoring it. That’s not a gray area. That’s a constitutional crisis in broad daylight and you don’t care because your guy is doing it.

Governor Sherrill said the accident happened when residents applying for drivers’ licenses and identification cards answered ‘no’ when asked on a keypad whether they were a US citizen.
“Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted,” she said.

The Lobe Rangers, a nonpartisan group of three Iowa farmers, will open one of their farms to the public on Saturday, July 25th, for a free field day built on a simple idea: show what already works with conservation farming and water quality.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2195 250th St., Rockwell City. This event, which will be held at the farm of James Hepp, is open to the public at no cost.
“Meaningful change in our water can’t involve just a few of us doing the right things,” Hepp said. “It needs to be commonplace on most of the fields you drive past. That means cover crops growing every winter, less tillage, and nitrogen being applied when the crop can actually use it. We’re a long way from that. Pretending we’re not hasn’t gotten Iowa anywhere.”

Those farming practices that will be showcased at the field day are the same ones the state’s own strategy identifies as necessary to improve water quality. The Lobe Rangers have used these management practices for more than decade while staying competitive on yield.
“We’ve farmed this way for fifteen years, with yields right alongside everybody else’s,” said Zack Smith, a member of The Lobe Rangers who farms near Buffalo Center, Iowa. “We’re not asking anyone to take a risk we haven’t already taken ourselves…we’re asking folks to join us and help create a better Iowa.”
In keeping with the Lobe Rangers’ nonpartisan mission, identical invitations to the July 25 have been extended to all current state and federal officeholders representing Iowa and to all candidates for office in 2026.

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics released Trump’s annual financial disclosure. It is 927 pages long. For context, Barack Obama’s final disclosure was eight pages. Joe Biden’s was eleven. Donald Trump’s is 927.
In a single year, Trump reported nearly $1.2 billion in revenue from cryptocurrency ventures alone. He collected $635 million in royalties from the $TRUMP meme coin, a token he launched three days before taking office that has no utility, function, or value beyond paying Donald Trump. It peaked at $75 per token and now trades at $1.67, a 98 percent collapse. For every dollar in trading fees the creators of that coin collected, investors lost twenty. More than one million investors have collectively lost $2.3 billion. Many of them are his own supporters. An early group of investors who got in at dirt-cheap prices cashed out within days, pocketing nearly $700 million, including one account created just hours before the coin launched that walked away with $109 million. The terms of the offering prohibit buyers from joining any class-action lawsuits. The fine print labels the coin as “artwork.” And the president of the United States pocketed $635 million from it while the people who trusted him lost everything.
The filing also shows that Trump purchased Amazon stock worth between $500,000 and $1 million on September 23, the same day a trial began in Seattle federal court for an FTC lawsuit against the company. That trial ended two days later when Amazon agreed to settle. He purchased between $1 million and $5 million in Axon Enterprise stock roughly two weeks before ICE moved to solicit a five-year, $220 million Taser contract with specifications that experts said effectively excluded any bidder other than Axon. In just the first three months of 2026, he reported more than 3,600 buy and sell orders worth between $220 million and $750 million, in companies like Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Oracle, Broadcom, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs. Nearly all of them are companies whose fortunes he directly controls through his own policy decisions. Many, if not all, are also donors of his.
If this had been Joe Biden or Barack Obama’s financial disclosure the right would have impeached both Presidents. When it is Donald Trump’s financial disclosure, the right is “nothing to see here”. It is sad.

Just twelve days after trump declared victory over what he called “Biden filth,” the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is peeling apart in real time, its fresh coat of “American flag blue” paint lifting off the bottom in massive chunks and floating to the surface of an already swampy, algae-choked mess.
The whole disaster reads like a contractor cutting every corner to hit a July 4th photo-op deadline. Pool coatings fail for a pretty predictable set of reasons: improper surface prep, rushing the cure time before flooding the basin, or a chemical imbalance that destroys the paint’s bond. In this case it appears to be all three at once. Workers have been dumping hydrogen peroxide into the water to fight the algae bloom, and as any pool professional will tell you, that chemical is essentially a paint stripper.
The contract was handed to Atlantic Industrial Coatings through a no-bid process at $13.1 million, going to a Virginia company that had never once held a federal contract before this job. As pool service owner Cochise Wanzer II put it to the AP, “What do you expect?” The pool coating, designed for smooth plaster and concrete surfaces, was applied to a reinforced concrete basin that was rushed through prep and flooded before the material had any real chance to bond.
For $13.1 million, the American public got a green swamp with peeling walls and phosphate levels far above safe limits. Experts say the whole thing likely needs to be stripped and redone from scratch, meaning the country may end up spending that same money twice just to get back to where it started. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING trump touches gets ruined

And if this had happened under Biden, the right would be calling for public executions.
Obama spent 34 million and look what shape it was in. Sucks it didn’t work this time, but half the price may be part of the problem.
Two things – yes, Obama did make repairs that cost $34 million to do a major overhaul of a structure that was built in 1922-23. Repairs done under Obama addressed issues such as stagnant water, as well as the reality that the pool had begun to leak and sink into the land dredged from the Potomac River to build it. It was reengineered with a circulation and filtration system using river water from the nearby Tidal Basin instead of city drinking water. It was also made shallower to save water and its bottom was tinted gray to make the water darker and more reflective of the Washington Monument. Plus, paved paths were added. Trump painted the bottom for $14.5 million.
Secondly, Obama used competitive bidding. Trump didn’t. Why did that happen? Could it be the contractor trump hired was a friend and supporter? And now that it will have to put it back the way it was, the price will probably go up and we will foot the bill.

They are also spending a billion dollars a day on a war that will end sometime in the future with more than likely a worse deal than was previously in place.
