ARNOLDS PARK — Joseph “Joe” Giesler, 67, of Arnolds Park, passed away September 23, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, leaving memories of laughter, generosity and treasured friendships.
A celebration of life will take place Sunday, October 18, from 2–5 p.m. at the Majestic Pavilion, 37 Lake Street, Arnolds Park. Sharing begins at 3:30 p.m., with stories and a toast featuring his favorite Miller Lite.
Born October 25, 1958, in Perryville, Missouri, Joe graduated from the University of Missouri in 1980. His agriculture and chemical industry career included leadership at Terra Industries.
Joe married Luanne “Lu” Braithwaite on April 27, 2001. They enjoyed traveling and winters in Bradenton, Florida. A devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan, he treasured fishing trips with friends and served on nonprofit boards.
Survivors include Lu; his “forever buddy,” Rudy; siblings Roy and Julia; nieces, nephews and friends. His parents, Donald and Lucille, preceded him in death.
According to his Turner Jenness Funeral Home obituary, memorials may support Prostate Cancer Foundation research or Spencer’s Shayla Bee Fund instead of flowers.
