HAMPTON — Janice D. Campbell, 79, of Hampton, died peacefully September 18, 2026, at Franklin Country View. She is remembered for her dedication to caring for her family and the love she shared with generations of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, at Woodley Funeral Home, 306 Central Avenue East in Hampton. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, at the funeral home. A private burial ceremony will take place at Dumont Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for use at a later date once a fund has been established.
Janice was born October 26, 1946, in Waverly to Charles and Sena Frankin. She attended Waverly High School and became the mother of two sons, Mark and James, who were an important source of happiness throughout her life.
Her working years included driving a school bus, serving as a secretary at Campbell’s TV in Hampton and working in maintenance at McDonald’s. Across those different jobs, she worked to support her family and was known for her dedication and willingness to help.
The family she helped nurture grew to include eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. They carry forward memories of the care and love she gave throughout her life.
Janice is survived by her husband, Don Campbell; her sons, Mark (Deb) DeBoer and James (Karla) DeBoer; and her grandchildren, Keith, Heather, Jill, Jackie, Kristopher, Shanda, Jeremy and Katie.
Her surviving great-grandchildren are Trenten, Izick, Elizabeth, Bryce, Willis, Winchester, Addison, Jackson, Emmet, Willow, Winter, Brittany, Jacoby and Jax. She is also survived by her great-great-grandchild, Mateo, and her sisters, Irene, Mary, June and Betty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sena, and her brothers, Paul Frankin and Bennet Frankin.
