KENSETT — Bradley “Brad” Ronald Flo, 75, of Kensett, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Hoff Celebrations-Sites Memorial Chapel in Northwood, and again one hour before the service Monday at the church.
Interment will follow at Kensett Cemetery.
Brad was born December 16, 1950, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Ronald and Beverly Flo. He was raised in Rake, Iowa, until moving to Kensett at age 5, the community he would call home for the rest of his life.
He graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1969 and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State College in 1974.
Brad married Vickie Mogk on June 4, 1977. Together, they built a life in Kensett and raised two daughters, Amber and Abby.
Brad worked for Watertower Paint and Repair and later Central Tank Coating, painting and repairing water towers. It was work that took skill, grit and a steady nerve, and it became part of the story of a man who spent his life connected to the communities around him.
He was also deeply involved in Kensett. Brad was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Kensett Lions Club and the Kensett Fire Department.
Those who knew Brad will remember his quick wit, stories, jokes and easy way of bringing laughter into a room. His family said he was born to be a Papa, always ready with M&M’s, mischief and time for his grandchildren.
Brad enjoyed hunting, spending time with family and keeping up with life around town. In later years, he could often be found cruising through Kensett in his golf cart, checking in on the comings and goings of the place he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie; daughters Amber Deyle and her husband, Dan, and Abby Patterson and her husband, Tracy; grandchildren Jackson Deyle, Maisey Patterson, Chase Deyle and Gage Patterson; sister Karen Schneider; along with aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Beverly Flo; brother Jon Flo; and brother-in-law Steve Schneider.
The family expressed thanks to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Mason City for the care Brad received over the past two years.
Memorials are preferred to the Lions Club of Kensett, Kensett Fire Department or Bethany Lutheran Church of Kensett.
