ST. ANSGAR — Stanley Dale Mauer, 68, of St. Ansgar, passed away during the early morning hours of Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Stacyville Community Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
Stanley was born June 1, 1958, the fourth of 10 children born to Theresa and Dale Mauer of Stacyville.
Stanley lived his life his way and on his own terms.
His family expressed its appreciation to the employees and staff of Stacyville Community Nursing Home for the care they provided Stanley.
The family offered special thanks to Krystal Crews and Audry Levine.
Stanley is survived by his brother Steve and Sandy Mauer; sisters Patricia and Craig Farlinger, Peg Mauer, Lisa and Carl Farlinger, Michelle and Paul Halbach, and Pamela and James Brincks; brother Shawn and Tammy Mauer; sister-in-law Vicky Mauer; cousin Lynn Walk; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Dale Mauer; sister Gerianne Mullenbach and brother-in-law Lee Mullenbach; brother Wayne Mauer; nephew Luke Farlinger; and niece Clarissa Tiermet.
