MASON CITY — Marcia A. Harris, 78, of Mason City, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Nora Springs Care Center.
No services are scheduled at this time. At the family’s request, cremation will take place, with a private family inurnment planned for a later date.
Marcia was born April 7, 1948, in Dubuque to Howard and Florence Lane Hendrickson.
She graduated from Mason City High School in 1966 and married Melvin Harris in Mason City in April 1967.
The couple farmed in the Rockwell area for a number of years before selling the farm and moving to Mason City.
Marcia enjoyed antiquing, attending auctions, riding her four-wheeler and shooting her Henry rifle.
Above all, she treasured time with her family and her beloved dog, Harley.
Marcia is survived by her children, Jess Harris and his wife, Lisa, of Mason City, and Ann Lapp and her husband, Josh, of Madrid; five grandchildren, Cole Harris, Harrison Lapp, Wyatt Lapp, Austin Lapp and Parker Wrasse; and her companion, Harley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, in 2016; her brothers, Dale Hendrickson and Tom Hendrickson; and her parents.
