MASON CITY — Michael “Mike” Frank Cresswell, 44, of Mason City, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 22, 2026.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 31, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel in Mason City.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel.
Mike was born June 22, 1982, and spent his life with strong ties to Mason City and North Iowa.
He was the son of David and Alberta Cresswell. His father, David, died in 2008, and his mother, Alberta, died in 2022.
Mike grew up as part of a longtime Mason City family and was one of two sons born to David and Alberta.
Family remained an important part of Mike’s life. He was married to Elizabeth Cresswell and was the father of Callie and Amelia Cresswell.
He is also part of a large extended North Iowa family that includes his brother, Craig Cresswell and his wife, Cindy, along with nieces, relatives and friends.
Mike’s unexpected death at just 44 years old leaves family members, friends and others who knew him mourning a life cut short.
