Police say that on September 17, 2024, at approximately 4:53 PM, Dubuque Police and Dubuque Fire responded to a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Roosevelt Street and Justin Lane, in the 2200 block of Roosevelt Street. The investigation determined a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 37-year-old Bradley Atchison of Dubuque. Atchison was pronounced deceased on scene and will be sent for an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner Office in Ankeny.
The accident remains under investigation, however based on the preliminary investigation, no criminal charges are expected.
