DOLLIVER — Carol Jean Konradi, 74, of Dolliver, died September 13, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is remembered for a lifetime of caring for patients, children and family.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, from noon to 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Armstrong, followed by a service at 2 p.m.
Carol’s nursing career began at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong. She later became director of nursing at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, where she remained until retirement.
After moving to Dolliver to be with Frank Rezac, she continued helping others, teaching nursing at Iowa Lakes Community College and serving as a substitute school nurse.
Her compassion extended beyond her profession. She fostered children and cared for aging relatives. Away from caregiving, she enjoyed gardening, canning, Elvis music, NASCAR and taking her raspberry-colored Monte Carlo to car shows.
Survivors include Frank; children Victoria Doran and Jeff Hoffman; three stepchildren; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her stepfather; and four siblings.
