TITONKA – A Northern Iowa domestic abuser drove his car away from a police search warrant at his house, only to be immediately stopped and arrested on serious charges.
On July 29, 2024, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 411 Ingham Street in Titonka. This warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by Kossuth county deputies.
Upon arrival, deputies observed the occupant leave the residence in a motor vehicle and conducted a lawful stop. As a result of the traffic stop and the search warrant at the residence, deputies were able to identify and arrest 24-year-old Preston Jacobsen (pictured at top) of 411 Ingham Street on the following charges:
• Possession of Firearm by Domestic Abuse Offender- Class D Felony
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 15t Offense- Serious Misdemeanor
• Possession of Marijuana 15t Offense- Serious Misdemeanor
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Simple Misdemeanor
• Open Container within a motor vehicle- Simple Misdemeanor
• Unlawful possession of Prescription Pills- Serious Misdemeanor
Jacobsen was transported and booked into the Kossuth County Jail where he remained, awaiting appearance before a judge.
