CHARLES CITY — A Northern Iowa woman facing felony burglary and domestic assault allegations was arrested Tuesday morning after police conducted a warrant check in Charles City.
Dominique Latishia Latimore, 32, of Charles City, was arrested at 6:11 a.m. on June 9, 2026, in the 200 block of Park Drive, according to the Charles City Police Department.
Police said Latimore was wanted on a valid Floyd County warrant for first-degree burglary.
According to Floyd County custody records, Latimore was booked into custody at 6:29 a.m. by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. She later bonded out and was listed as out of custody at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday.
Court records show Latimore (pictured at top) is charged in Floyd County case FECR030838 with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony; domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow causing bodily injury, a Class D felony; and violation of probation.
The charges stem from an alleged February 10, 2026, offense.
A public bench warrant was issued June 8 after court action in the case. Court filings show the warrant carried bond of $10,000 cash or surety.
After the warrant was served June 9, Latimore made an initial appearance. Court records show bond was amended to $10,000 cash or surety, with 10 percent acceptable, and the case was referred to district court for further proceedings.
Court filings also show Latimore previously entered a written arraignment and plea of not guilty on March 13.
A pretrial conference is currently scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on June 22, 2026. A jury trial is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on July 7, 2026.
First-degree burglary is one of the more serious charges under Iowa law and is classified as a Class B felony. A Class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison if a person is convicted. A Class D felony is punishable by up to five years in prison.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Latimore is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
