MASON CITY – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a former Mason City man after he failed to show up in court this week.
Aramis Windsor Sauers, 26, was due in Cerro Gordo county district court on July 22nd for a pre-trial conference and then a jury trial was to begin the next day on July 23rd on a charge of sexual abuse in the 3rd degree brought by the Mason City Police Department. The offense allegedly took place in 2006. After being convicted of the crime in 2007, records show the courts vacated the conviction and he must now stand trial again.
Sauers is still incarcerated in Florida at this time. The Volusia County, Florida Sheriff’s Office shows that Aramis Sauers is still in their jail after being arrested in June for violating a protective order, resisting an officer with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Charges of criminal mischief and two counts of battery have been added.

The city of Nora Springs has a kid just like this. The only difference is this kid is only 14 yrs old. He has no parental support at all and his probation officers dont watch him at all. Plus the judges just keep letting them loose. What a waste of life !!!!!

Allison, sorry to say there have been published reports about: #1 the number of police calls to their house several years ago, more than WalMart had in a single year; and #2 comments on the Globe from the parents who believed their little boy could do no wrong, that everyone was picking on them.
Constant calls for service, numerous criminal charges, is that what you call normal? It is an indication that something is very wrong.
I grew up around families like that, and guess where them kids are today? Prison for armed violence, drugs, arson, DUI, the list is long. Yet, year after year in school meetings, the parents would blame teachers, other parents, or school officials. Township officials tried to intervene, only to be spurred by the parents.
When a parent tries to justify the miscreant behaviors of an offspring by blaming someone/everyone else, that is enabling further problems.
And as in every other case like this, those problems end up effecting the whole community.
@Observer-I read in the GLOB this morning that he missed his court date because he is in jail in Florida for assaulting a officer and other charges. Now, Iowa will have to extradite him at more cost to the taxpayers.
That is just a tip of the iceberg in costs to the community, yet the most visible kind.

I would not only repeat to his face my comment, but have evidence to back it up. In one year, his address alone required 113 responses from our Police. Excessive costs that we taxpayers had to fork up.

Observer, when was the article published? 2007? Damian wasn’t even living with his parents then. He had moved out in the spring of 2006. Gracious Estates is also mentioned in the article with 166 calls. But whenever anyone is in an article with a current address in that “mobile home community” no one calls them white-trash, tooth-less hobos, or uneducated rednecks. Why can’t everyone jump on that bandwagon for once? If you’re going to bully one, you might as well bully them all.
The mobile home park is a collection of residences, not restricted to one family. So your argument is not at all equal.

Damian is in school for Diesel Mechanics (for the zillionith post today), the girls both have full-time jobs, their own places, and are doing well for themselves in Florida, his next youngest brother is keeping his act together and staying out of trouble in Florida, and his youngest brother is finishing high school without all the drama and doing better than he ever did in this town. His parents are doing very well, too, enjoying life by the sea.

I have met and dealt with these ridiculous family….I lived next to one of the boys…he was crazy and my landlord did everything he could to evict him but his family knows how to work the system…I had to deal foe months with threats of being thrown down the stairs and other various threats….he was the worst neighbor ever and his family did nothing but perpetuate his actions.
Not how to work the system, just knows Iowa Tenant laws. Once again, threats he made, isn’t the entire family. Did his sisters ever make threats or do anything to you? Did his oldest and youngest brother? Did his 3-year-old nephew throw poopy diapers at your house?
