Convicted thief in jail on probation violation after most recent theft charge

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman previously convicted of theft is back in jail on a probation violation.

According to records, Jasmine Tilton Lane, 19, violated her probation earlier this month from a conviction of fourth degree theft. In that case, Lane was picked up by Mason City police at the YMCA on October 21st, 2011 after a caller reporter the bag in her locker was missing.  Lane still owes $845.13 to the court in that case.

Lane has also been charged with 3rd degree theft in 2011 (still owes court $1,635.14), and then most recently 3rd degree theft after an October 2nd, 2012 incident.

A warrant was issued for Lane’s arrest on October 8th for the probation violation.  She was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail Sunday night at 8:36 PM.  She is awaiting a hearing set for October 29th.
