MASON CITY – It was reported to the NIT newsroom late Sunday that abortion protestors were seen near Mercy Hospital Sunday.
According to our source, the protestors were: “lined up on the sidewalk on 4th Street SW, in front if the mercy employee parking lot directly across from Walgreens. I’d say there were a dozen people with signs, some sitting in lawn chairs, lined up from south Taylor to south pierce. One lady and a man even had 4 kids with them, including a baby which they were trying to wrap up in a blanket to stay warm. Their two young daughters were snuggled up, sitting on the sidewalk. One sign said “abortion kills children”. Lots of posters! This was around two o’clock (Sunday).”
