CHARLES CITY — Edward “Ed” Cajthaml, 78, of Charles City, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Per Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
Edward Louis Cajthaml was born October 9, 1947, in Kansas, the son of Alfred and Edith (Belk) Cajthaml.
Ed married Lori Bray on June 27, 1979. He enjoyed hunting and trips to casinos, but family was at the center of his life. He especially cherished his grandchildren and took pride in supporting them in their activities.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Cajthaml; son Cory (Shelly) Anderegg and their children, Colton and Keely; son Casey (Sarah) Cajthaml and their children, Carter and Kinnick; sisters Marilyn and Evelyn; brothers-in-law Greg (Dawn) Bray and Jeff (Lisa) Bray; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith Cajthaml; his mother- and father-in-law, Gene and Gerry Bray; grandson Jace Cajthaml; daughter Renee Anderson; and brothers Jim, Larry and Richard.
