Larry Elwood is trying to turn Bullshit into into a French Soufflé.
I, like many others, read Larry Elwood’s letter in today’s (Sunday) paper. Larry is on all the committees he needs, has first knowledge of what is being considered and who it is.
This carefully crafted statement will be the beginning of several letters that will appear in the Globe lauding Bookmeyer. These will come from people he has placed on various committees, boards and civic panels. They are his hand picked collaborators who have pledged to drive him home after he leaves the taverns and agree with anything and everything he says and does. Keep watch for them, because there will a lot more.
When Elwood said the past four years of watching city government were pleasurable. He also said he had a front row seat….if that was indeed the case then I don’t understand how he missed the fact that Weaver, Nelson and Marsters were sitting at that table two of the past four years. Are we then to believe that his contrived compliment also covers all who sat there during the four years? Larry should realize we don’t intend to change the channel, we’re just going to dial it back a bit.

Was a young lady at downtown bar couple weeks back with helluva a tale about bookee and a maid. She has told the story to anyone who will listen. She is related to maid. Must have been 10 people there.

Lets talk about Charles City; I was arrested there for something I did not do. The guilty person was eventually caught and I then sued the city for false arrest. The jury then awarded me $1,250,000.00 which later on appeal the Iowa Surpreme Court overturned. That is pretty much it. Now you want to turn it into something else? It’s all in the courthouse records, you can go read it but try as you will, you can not change it. I am sorry for you Reggie….go get a life.

Do you really think that tripe Elwood wrote was not a payback? There will be more feeble offerings but the public is on to those cheap tricks . No one in this city likes Bookmeyer except you
Tell you what Peter lets make a friendly wager. If Max wins I quit posting on NIT BUT if Eric wins you stop posting and writing OP-Eds. If I’m the only one who likes the Mayor this should be a slam dunk/Iron clad bet on your part. What say you Peter?
Let me understand this; first of all you want me to place a wager with someone I don’t know? Is that what you are saying. Larry Elwood has been an ass since I’ve known him in early 80’s Screwing people and doing half assed jobs. He knows. Everybody knows.
