MASON CITY — Roxanne Burgess, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 71.
Roxanne was born October 3, 1954. Her life was marked by love for family, devotion to the people closest to her and the strength she showed through difficult days.
Those who knew Roxanne will remember her as someone whose presence mattered deeply to her family and friends. Her passing leaves a wide circle of loved ones mourning the loss of a woman who gave her care, time and heart to others.
At 71, Roxanne’s life carried the memories of family gatherings, friendships, everyday kindness and the quiet bonds that hold generations together. Her family will carry those memories forward as they honor her life and say goodbye.
