Women’s College Wrestling: Iowa State Cyclones announce new additions to roster

AMES – The Iowa State women’s wrestling program has announced the addition of four signees. Of the batch, ISU has added two high schoolers and two transfers. With today’s four signings, Iowa State’s incoming roster now sits at six student-athletes.

Molly Allen – 124 | So. | Underwood, Iowa | Riverside HS | Oklahoma State Transfer
Allen prepped at Riverside, where she was a four-time Iowa state champion with an undefeated 103-0 record. She became just the second female wrestler in Iowa high school history to win four titles. She was rated as the No. 13 overall recruit in the class of 2025 by FloWrestling and was the recipient of both the 2025 Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award and Iowa High School Female Wrestler of the Year Award by the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Allen spent her freshman season at Oklahoma State, wrestling for the Cowgirl Wrestling Club along with fellow Cyclone signee Daniella Nugent. There, she posted a 20-3 record, including a 5-0 mark in duals, at 124 pounds. Closed her freshman campaign as a 2026 USA Wrestling Women’s Collegiate Club national champion. During the summer of 2026, Allen competed at the U20 Women’s National Championship at 57 kg, where she was a runner-up.

Greta Brus – 145 | Fr. | Blue Grass, Iowa | Assumption HS
Brus attended Assumption High School and wrestled for coaches Marcus Bass and Barlow McGee. She finished her prep career with an 81-1 record and was an undefeated state champion in 2026 with a 42-0 mark. She was a four-sport athlete in high school, also competing in football, soccer and track & field.

Brus was a 2026 Girls 1A All-State selection by IAwrestle and a two-time state finalist (2024, 2026). She would finish third at both the 2025 Junior Nationals in Fargo and at the 2025 USA Wrestling National High School Showcase. She compiled a 39-1 record as a sophomore, dropping her lone match of the year in the state finals.

Makennah Craft – 103 | So. | Jackson, Ohio | Jackson HS | Campbellsville Transfer
Craft was rated as the No. 30 overall recruit and No. 3 prep 100-pounder by FloWrestling coming out of high school. After going undefeated (126-0) in her high school career and becoming a four-time Ohio State champion, Craft wrestled at Campbellsville for her first collegiate season.

With the Tigers, Craft earned NAIA All-American status at 103 pounds as a freshman. She was the Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year and a Mid-South Conference Champion. Craft posted a 12-1 record with three tech falls and five falls, as she placed third at the NAIA National Championships.

Daniella Nugent – 145 | So. | Boxford, Mass. | Phillips Academy Andover | Oklahoma State Transfer
Nugent prepped at Phillips Academy Andover for coaches Kassie Bateman and Jason York, as she was the No. 19 overall recruit in the class of 2025 and the No. 1 140-pounder by FloWrestling. Nugent became the first female wrestler to win four New England prep titles as she earned the Massachusetts Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award.

The summer before her freshman season at Oklahoma State, Nugent was a 2025 U20 World Team member and national champion at 65 kg. At OSU, Nugent posted a 5-2 record as she competed with the Cowgirl Wrestling Club. In dual action, Nugent finished with a 2-1 mark as she tallied two falls on the season. There, she was teammates with fellow Cyclone signee Molly Allen.
