The board is also set to consider certified resignations from Teresa Gerrard, English Language Learners at Lincoln Intermediate, effective upon completion of the 2025-26 contract after four years of service; and Justin Uhlenhopp, district-wide TLC instructional coach, effective upon completion of the 2025-26 contract after one year of service.
Certified personnel transfers include Amanda Sadler, who would move from a special education assignment at John Adams Middle School to Mason City Virtual Academy special education at 0.625 FTE. The move is listed as an administrative transfer, with salary and benefits unaffected.
Julie Ulve is recommended for reassignment from Alternative High School/Virtual Academy special education and social emotional coach duties to Mason City Virtual Academy TLC instructional coach at 100 percent TLC. The rationale listed is increased student enrollment, with salary and benefits unaffected.
For non-certified personnel, Eric Farland is recommended for a temporary summer 2026 grounds crew position at the Administrative Center at $12.75 per hour.
Non-certified resignations listed in the report include Brandon McBride, food service/general worker at Hoover Elementary; Jessica Reutzel, special education paraprofessional at John Adams Middle School; Melissa Solberg, special education paraprofessional at Mason City High School; Sabrina Stepleton, bus monitor at the Administration Center; Chloe Summerfield, special education paraprofessional at Lincoln Intermediate; and Megan Walling, special education paraprofessional at Roosevelt Elementary.
Several non-certified staff changes are also proposed.
Samantha Billings would have her food service/general worker hours at Lincoln Intermediate increased from 5.75 hours to 6.25 hours. Her hourly wage would not change, but she would become eligible for health insurance benefits. The rationale listed is additional coverage needed for breakfast.
Emeny Brattrud, Mackenzie Bromley and Mikayla Renchin are each recommended for voluntary transfers from special education paraprofessional roles at Roosevelt Elementary to behavioral interventionist positions at Roosevelt Elementary. Each position is listed at eight hours, with a salary of $19.13 per hour. The report identifies these as new positions.

The board will also consider extracurricular staffing changes.
Larry Collins III is recommended as head coed bowling coach at Mason City High School, with a salary of $7,501. The report says Collins was previously head girls coach, but the head girls and head boys bowling coach positions were combined into one coed position following Richard Patras’ resignation as head boys coach.

Matthew Jensen is recommended for an associate vocal director contract adjustment at Mason City High School, increasing the stipend to $6,344. Jensen is also recommended for middle school vocal at John Adams Middle School with a stipend of $833, replacing Elisabeth Kirby.
