Aramis Sauers, awaiting trial on sex abuse charge, caught with meth

MASON CITY – Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two men after a traffic stop in downtown Mason City Wednesday afternoon.

At about 4:42 PM at North Federal Avenue and 3rd Street, an officer stopped a vehicle driven by Aramis Windsor Sauers. The passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Ray Ward, 25, of Mason City, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of third degree theft. He is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $2,000 cash-only bond.

Sauers, 26, formerly of Mason City now living in Florida, was arrested for possession of marijuana. After arriving at the jail and during the booking process, Sauers was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Sauers was subsequently charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and introducing contraband into the jail.

Sauers immediately posted an undisclosed bond and was set free.

Sauers, who has had countless criminal charges dismissed, is currently awaiting trial on a charge of sexual abuse in the 3rd degree brought by the Mason City Police Department. The offense allegedly took place in 2006. After being convicted of the crime in 2007, records show the courts vacated the conviction and he must now stand trial again. Sauers is set for a jury trial on July 23rd, 2013.

Sauers has been charged 5 times with violating a no-contact order with the victim and four times found guilty.  Judge Colleen Weiland dismissed one charge.

On April 12th, records show Sauers plead guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

On March 29th, records show an affidavit was filed in Cerro Gordo County Court by a Mason City woman on Sauers to establish paternity and support on twin babies.

Are you serious? Do you “people” have nothing better to do? Oh wait, you’re in Iowa, that goes without being said/typed. You’re counting the days to a trial for someone you don’t even know. Go back to school, work on your grammar. You’re cowards, all you’re ever going to be is “anonymous”, vile, scum and that’s putting it nicely.

Anyone know what happened to bricks for brains? She has disappeared and I wondered where she might have gone to…….

What does that have to do with the story?

Normally, Bricks would be on here bashing law enforcement for arresting someone with drugs. I’ve just noticed she has been gone for a few weeks and hasn’t been lending her support to drug abusers.

@Katie-probably in jail or rehab.

Tanya Jones is in jail again she won’t be commenting for a couple hours.

@captain-they must have let her out as I can’t find her. She will probably wake up dead one of these days.

This guy is a piece of crap and always will be. What is he doing on our streets?

Why waiting for his trial from a charge in 2006, that what he is doing. Oh, I almost forgot, breaking more laws too. He can basically do whatever he wants as long as he can post bail until his big trial.

89 days till trial. This will not be his last arrest.
