CLEAR LAKE – The father of a man serving a second jail sentence for violating a no-contact order in connection with a felony charge of domestic assault says his son “should have never trusted the devil” and was railroaded by the alleged female victim in the case.

Daniel Franken, age 24, is now serving an 18-day jail sentence for violating a no-contact order in a felony domestic abuse assault case for which he was given a deferred judgement. He had earlier served a 10-day jail sentence for violating the no-contact order.  The alleged victim is a Mason City woman.

As NIT continues to follow and report on developments in this case and others involving Mr. Franken, Daniel Franken’s father, Robert Franken, told NIT that the “true story” is that the female alleged victim in the case “ruined” his son’s life and was sneaking over to their home to visit him.

Robert Franken shared the following information with NIT:

“I wish you knew the whole story of how a woman is trying to ruin my son’s life. She contacted him through [friends] and pursued him and was actually meeting with him and when she found out he was dating a someone else, she contacted the Clear Lake Police and showed them text message[s] he sent to her. She has always been in the driving seat, that [is] how unfair the justice system is.

“We contacted the Cerro Gordo county sheriff several times and finally got them to call this female and threaten to arrest her for contacting Daniel. She even drove to our place several times while we were gone to meet with him. Got it on surveillance film. Daniel will probably finally learn his lesson bit he should have never trusted the devil.

“She made many attempts to get the State to drop the whole non-contact order but the State of Iowa decided to continue with the charges even against the testimony from Brittany that she shouldn’t have called the police that night.  He was the one who was bitten, kicked, and had all the marks and she had NOTHING.

“The judicial system is sometimes very unfair.

“Daniel was wrong to connect with her again after her requests when she pressured him but this is way wrong and unjustified.”

Daniel Franken will be released from jail on September 21, 2014.

She must be a good POA to keep going to jail for it. There’s more fish in the sea young man go find a good fish not a piranha.

I know a young man from Charles City who was set up the same way. Courts are all on the female’s side, even when they are the ones at fault.
