
This marks the seventh time that Tuttle has been named the MVC player of the week, tying him with Kyle Korver from Creighton for the fourth most selections in a career for player of the week honors. Four of Tuttle’s seven selections have come during this season.
The Sheffield, Iowa native averaged 22.5 points per game while shooting 79.2 percent from the field in leading UNI to a pair of league wins and pushing the Panthers’s win streak to 13 in a row. Tuttle also made 80 percent of his three-point attempts in the two contests.
Tuttle scored 23 points (9-of-12 FGs) and handed out five assists in an 83-64 win over Illinois State, while also draining 2-of-3 three-pointers and adding five rebounds against the Redbirds. The senior also poured in 22 points (10-of-12 FGs) and dished out three dimes in a 68-57 victory over Missouri State. He sunk both of his 3-point attempts against the Bears.
Tuttle and the Panthers will return to action Wednesday, Feb. 18 when they head to the Windy City to take on Loyola. The game is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. and can be heard on Panther Sports Network, 1540-KXEL.
