MASON CITY — The North Iowa Area Community College Board of Directors is scheduled to meet Thursday, June 18, 2026, with athletic facilities, college property, a beverage agreement, personnel items and the president’s contract among the items on the agenda.
The board will begin with a 5:00 p.m. workshop in AC128 on the NIACC campus, 500 College Drive in Mason City. The workshop agenda includes an Academic Affairs Board Report.
The regular board meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Room AB100.
During the regular meeting, board members are expected to receive reports from Community Colleges for Iowa and on legislative matters. The agenda also includes time for a board member forum and discussion of items for the July board meeting.
The consent agenda includes approval of the May 21, 2026, workshop and board meeting minutes, bills for the month of May 2026, budget statements through May 31, 2026, personnel items, the FY2027 facility fee schedule, a John V. Hanson Center maintenance agreement and a maintenance agreement for the NIACC Career Center at Charles City.
Several major action items are also listed for board consideration.
The board is expected to consider approval of an athletic fields project bid award and an athletic fields project contract. The agenda also lists a request for approval of an FY2026 major purchase request and authorization to market college-owned property for sale.
Board members are also scheduled to consider a Pepsi agreement and a request to approve a College and Career Transition Counselor position.
The president’s contract for FY2027 is also on the agenda. The board is scheduled to enter a personnel closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(i), followed by consideration of the president’s FY2027 contract.
The meeting will conclude with any additions to the agenda, the president’s report and adjournment.
The NIACC Board of Directors governs the college, which serves students and communities across North Iowa. According to NIACC, the board is made up of nine members from the college’s service area, with members elected to four-year terms.
