MASON CITY — Donna Mae McCorkle, 75, of Mason City, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
Donna was born on October 2, 1950, to Clarence Madsen and Viola Lenning. Her passing marks the close of a life centered around family, lasting bonds and the people who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Kris Penca and her husband Mike of Flagstaff, Arizona, Mary Witt and her husband Jeremy of Des Moines, and Nick McCorkle and his wife Jennifer of Mason City.
Donna’s legacy also continues through her grandchildren, Maysen and Kassy, Clay, Paisley and Jared, Kenzie and Quinn, Hunter, RaeLyn, Liam and Aiden, along with four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gerald Madsen; her husband, Jon McCorkle; and her father-in-law, Kermit McCorkle and Lawisa.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Avenue North in Clear Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in care of Donna’s family.
