IOWA FALLS — Marc Lowell Richmann, 71, of Iowa Falls, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at Hansen Family Hospital.

Born July 16, 1954, to Melvin and Lavelle (Willms) Richmann, Marc grew up with roots in the Bradford and Iowa Falls area. He attended Bradford schools through elementary school before continuing his education in Iowa Falls, where he graduated in 1972. As a student, he enjoyed sports, with football holding a special place among his favorites.

Marc built a life marked by devotion, skill and quiet pride. He was the proud father of his daughter, Sara, whom he raised on his own. From her youngest years, he was a steady and loving presence, introducing her to golf and sharing his love of music by taking her to concerts beginning when she was just a child.

A carpenter by trade, Marc was known for his craftsmanship, especially as a woodworker and finish carpenter. He took pride in work done well and was always pleased to show others what he had created with his hands.

Music was another of Marc’s gifts. He was an accomplished guitar player and had the ability to pick up and play nearly any instrument placed before him. He also loved the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Meadow Hills Golf Course, where he played as often as the weather allowed.

Above all, Marc treasured his family. His grandchildren were a deep source of joy, and he rarely missed a chance to support them at ballgames, band concerts or Sunday dinners. His family also noted that in later years, Marc’s faith in Jesus Christ grew deeper, giving them comfort in the belief that he is at peace in eternal life.

Marc is survived by his daughter, Sara Whitehead and her husband John; grandchildren Mason Martin and wife Rhian, Gabe Hadwiger and wife Katie, Rocco Hadwiger, Zyrus Whitehead, TJ Whitehead and wife Autumn, and Mara Whitehead; great-granddaughter Zalaya; niece Abby Thomas and husband Andy and their children Ellen and Roland; and brother-in-law John Benedict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Lavelle Richmann; his brother, Mike; and his sister, Micki.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, 516 S. Oak Street, Iowa Falls. Marc will be laid to rest at a later date with graveside inurnment at Pleasant Hill Grant Township Cemetery.
