Minnesota woman serving jail sentence after drunk driving guilty plea

MASON CITY – A Minnesota woman who was caught drunk driving this past April as she drove the wrong way on a one-way street is now serving a jail sentence after a guilty plea.

Jordan Pasvogel, age 20, plead guilty in July to operating while intoxicated, first offense. She was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay $1,797.50 in fines and court fees.

Police had stopped Pasvogel in the early morning hours on April 5, 2014, as she drove the wrong way on Federal Avenue and 7th Street NW. She was also charged with operating while under the influence, violating a one-way traffic designation, and open container of alcohol by an underage person. Those charges are still in court records, show.

A breath alcohol test was performed by the arresting officer on April 5, 2014 at 3:30 AM on a female subject, the only test performed that day on a female (the actual name is not released by law enforcement). The subject registered a 0.170 on both tests, over double the legal alcohol limit.
