HAWKEYE — Ronald Ray Pleggenkuhle, 79, of Hawkeye, passed away peacefully Friday, July 3, 2026, at his family’s lake house.
Ronald was born June 15, 1947. His passing is being mourned by family, friends and others who knew him in Hawkeye and the surrounding northeast Iowa area.
Family and home were important parts of Ronald’s life, and his final moments at the family lake house reflect the close ties and memories shared by those who loved him. His family, friends and neighbors will gather in August to honor his life, share memories and celebrate the years they had with him.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Hawkeye Community Hall. A short program will begin at 11:30 AM, with a meal to follow. All are welcome to attend.
