RURAL LITTLE TURKEY — Sharon Marvella Landa, 89, of rural Little Turkey, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 30, 2026.
Sharon Marvella Veronica Landa was born September 29, 1936, to Russell and Normadel Stirm. She built a long life centered around family, faith and the generations who followed her.
Landa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilmer Francis Landa; siblings Russell Stirm and Delores Lawless; brother-in-law Gary Jensen; son-in-law Russell Bremseth; grandchild Richie Allison; and great-grandchildren Bently Allison, Delilah Liebich and Ezra Liebich.
She is survived by her children, Wilmer Eugene Jr. Landa and wife Rose, Teresa Rosendahl and husband Peter, Carolyn Landa, Dianne Bremseth, and Dennis Landa and wife Connie. She is also survived by her sisters, Charlotte Jensen and Della Webbeking and husband Art; sister-in-law Lee Stirm; stepchildren Larry Vanda and wife Kim, Sheila Fox, Crystal Ouenas and Eugene Vanda; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
A rosary will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 3303 160th Street, Lawler. Visitation will follow from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, also at Blessed Virgin Mary Parish.
