North Koreans who helped launch satellite visit Kim Il Sung’s birthplace, marvel at “fully equipped” sports stadium

Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) — Scientists, technicians, workers and officials who contributed to the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 Sunday visited Mangyongdae, President Kim Il Sung’s birthplace.

They laid bouquets before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of Kim Il Sung, and graves of his parents Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok before paying silent tribute to them.

They went round historic data and relics displayed at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum.

They entered the yard of the old home at Mangyongdae and went round historic relics preserved with much care, recollecting with deep emotion the revolutionary life of Kim Il Sung, who performed undying feats for the era and history.

They also visited the Sports Complex of the Korean People’s Army on the same day.

The visitors were struck with admiration at the stadium built into a sports center fully equipped with facilities for various matches and all necessary conditions for watching matches under the wise leadership of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They watched a men’s volleyball match between the April 25 Sports Team and the Amnokgang Sports Team.
