MASON CITY – A Minnesota woman was nabbed by cops after a theft attempt in the downtown area – and then was slapped with a felony charge.

Mason City police were dispatched for a theft that just occurred outside of the library on the morning of Sunday, August 6. After an investigation, police corralled 28-year-old Cayla Joe Graupmann of Prior Lake, Minnesota and charged her with aggravated misdemeanor third-degree theft.

Graupmann was brought to the jail and an illegal substance was discovered once she was there. As a result, she was charged with felony D possession or conveyance of contraband. She remains held on bond, awaiting a court appearance.
