Man banned from Rockwell grocery store

ROCKWELL – A Rockwell man has been banned from the town grocery store.

According to a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s report, Calvin Sturm, age 22, of Rockwell, was “kicked out” of Dugan’s Grocery store on Tuesday afternoon, May 28th. The owner of the store, Tony Laudner, had called Rockwell Police Chief Richard Whitney and said that Sturm was “harassing the female employees” and does not want Sturm “back on the property.”

Whitney made contact with Sturm later that day and told Sturm “that he is no longer wanted in (Dugan’s) grocery, and if he is reported to be on the property or in the store in the future he will be charged with trespass.”

Earlier this year, in February, a woman, Jennifer Anne Roberts, was banned from Dugan’s grocery store after stealing a bottle of booze.
