MASON CITY – The Republican party in North Iowa, headquartered at their “Victory Office” at 1314 4th Street SW, is reporting that they will be holding a hog roast on Saturday at that location.
“North Iowa volunteers will gather to support our troops, volunteer for the Republican ticket, and enjoy fellowship with other area Republicans,” the Republicans reported.
“It’s an all day event,” Martha Gravlee, who heads up the Victory Office, said today. “Kids are welcome.”
The cookout will be held in the parking lot.
Volunteering begins at 10 am with the hog roast at 1 pm.
In other news, the Republicans have said that “a new shipment of Steve King signs” has arrived are they are now available.
“I am seeing alot as I drive in the area, would be great to see more,” one prominent Republican said.
“We just got another shipment of King barn signs. We have already plastered the district but we want to put up even more!” another declared.
I would like to see a comment page established to help offset the media bias in Mason City generated by the local newspaper (The Globe Gazette). The Globe consistently prints their own version of liberally biased events and presents it as news. I think we really need to let the people of north Iowa know that news in the Globe is inaccurate and prejudiced. I have been trying to point this out in editorials but they have refused to print them. They also block me from making comments on their website. This is a serious problem for Conservatives in Iowa as Lee Enterprises operates several similar newspapers in Iowa that print the same garbage.

Tom-I had the same problem with the GLOB. They just won’t print anything that is not on their agenda. I get so sick of the crap they have on their editorial page. It is the same lies we have to listen to over and over on the Democratic ads.
