DES MOINES – The coronavirus pandemic has claimed another victim, this time the Iowa State Fair.

The Iowa State Fair, a family and political tradition for decades, has been called off this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Organizers of the event probably understood that farm animals, foods on a stick, sweaty Iowans guzzling booze and lemonade packed into tiny venues and port-a-potties might be a haven for the nasty little critter that has taken the lives of over 600 Iowans and counting.

The last time the Iowa State Fair was canceled was 75 years ago during World War II.  The Iowa State Fair Board voted to postpone the event until 2021 (the vote was 11-2 via secret ballot) so folks will have that to look forward to.

Poor little snowflakes all upset over a fair. Need a safe space?

Hide under my desk

How can you tell someone driving by you is a liberal democrat ?

There wearing a face mask by them self in their car

People can protest, riot, loot, and burn, but they can’t go to the state fair.

Damn, I was gonna go this year.

State fair is canceled, clear lake 4th is canceled…
Well at least we can all go walk around in a sea of people in algona with our balls hanging out… That’s still a go…
