HAMPTON, IOWA – An Iowa man has been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for a sex crime committed in Franklin county.

Joshua Snyder, age 34 of Pomeroy, Iowa, was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of incest. The crimes allegedly took place in 2005 in Franklin county. On January 31, he was arrested on a warrant and jailed. He initially pleaded not guilty.

However, at a later date, Snyder entered a guilty plea to one count of second-degree sexual abuse. This plea deal led to the other charges being dismissed.

Snyder was transported to the Iowa Medical & Classification Center in Coralville for processing and will then be moved to a state prison to serve his sentence.

That’s my dad

Sigh. He’ll be out in no time.

If it was my child he abused he would be much safer in jail.
