Embattled Judge Roy Moore says he is now investigating the women who accuse him of sexual misconduct

MOORE

ALABAMA – Embattled Judge Roy Moore – accused of sexual assault, misconduct and allegedly once banned from a mall for chasing teenage girls – says he is now investigating the women who accuse him and wrote a letter to Fox News’ Sean Hannity in an attempt to clear his name.

According to the Washington Post, ultra conservative candidate for U.S. Senate Roy Moore of Alabama had a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl back in 1979. He was 32-years-old at the time. Other women are coming forward with further allegations, and it has been reported that Moore was allegedly banned from a mall back in the 1980’s for hitting on teens.

Now, Moore is striking back, telling Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday that he is “suffering” and is under “attack”:

HANNITY

Dear Sean:I am suffering the same treatment other Republicans have had to endure.

A month prior to the general election for U.S. Senate in Alabama, I have been attacked by the Washington Post and other liberal media in a desperate attempt to smear my character and defeat my campaign.

Over the last 40 years I have held several public offices, including Deputy District Attorney, Circuit Judge, and Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. In addition to running five statewide and three county campaigns for public office, I have been involved in two major controversies that attracted national attention, one about the Ten Commandments and the other the sanctity of marriage.

The Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission, Court of the Judiciary, and Attorney General have investigated, scrutinized, examined, and vetted me, not to mention every opposing candidate against whom I have run.
I have been married for almost 33 years to my wife Kayla. We have four children and five granddaughters.

We are in the process of investigating these false allegations to determine their origin and motivation. For instance, we have documented that the most recent accuser, Beverly Nelson, was a party in a divorce action before me in Etowah County Circuit Court in 1999. No motion was made for me to recuse. In her accusations, Nelson did not mention that I was the judge assigned to her divorce case in 1999, a matter that apparently caused her no distress at a time that was 18 years closer to the alleged assault. Yet 18 years later, while talking before the cameras about the supposed assault, she seemingly could not contain her emotions.

My signature on the order of dismissal in the divorce case was annotated with the letters “D.A.,” representing the initials of my court assistant.

Curiously the supposed yearbook inscription is also followed by the same initials—”D.A.” But at that time I was Deputy District Attorney, not district attorney. Those initials as well as the date under the signature block and the printed name of the restaurant are written in a style inconsistent with the rest of the yearbook inscription. The “7’s” in “Christmas 1977” are in a noticeably different script than the “7’s” in the date “12-22-77.” I believe tampering has occurred.

Are we at a stage in American politics in which false allegations can overcome a public record of 40 years, stampede the media and politicians to condemn an innocent man, and potentially impact the outcome of an election of national importance? When allegations of events occurring 40 years ago—and never before mentioned during a 40-year career of public service—are brought out and taken seriously only 30 days before a critical election, we may be in trouble as a country.

I adamantly deny the allegations of Leigh Corfman and Beverly Nelson, did not date underage girls, and have taken steps to begin a civil action for defamation. Because of that, at the direction of counsel, I cannot comment further.

– Roy S. Moore.

Also Wednesday, Moore challenged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, tweeting, “Bring. It. On.” This was in response to McConnell saying in a press conference he had no reason not to believe Moore’s accusers.

It was further announced Wednesday that Moore – who remains defiantly in the Senate election race despite the firestorm – still has supporters.

The Alabama 5th Congressional District GOP Exec Committee voted Tuesday night unanimously to fully back Roy Moore moving forward. In a statement, the committee said:

On Tuesday night, the 5th Congressional District Republican Executive Committee unanimously adopted a Resolution in support of Roy Moore as the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate.

The 5th Congressional District Republican Executive Committee asks the ALGOP Steering Committee to affirm their support of Judge Moore as the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate.

The 5th Congressional District Republican Executive Committee represents Jackson, Limestone, Lauderdale, Madison, and Morgan counties and meets quarterly at Old Greenbrier Restaurant.

Currently in the U.S. Senate, Republicans control 52 seats, while Democrats hold 46. Independents hold 2 and they caucus with Democrats. A Democratic win by Moore’s opponent, Doug Jones, could open the door to Democrats taking back the Senate in the next election.

It’s a sad day for America. You all just need to read your posts and see what your line of thinking is doing to destroy our justice system. God forbid you are ever accused of committing a crime because you all are stuck on blaming Republicans and dems that it is blinding you. I don’t know if Moore did what he is accused of, but he is entitled to confront his accusers and defend himself. Just because someone accuses you doesn’t make you guilty. Wake up people and take your blinders off.

Here’s what I don’t get. How desensitized have we become as a nation? When did it all become about the label we wear as voters? When did we get so angry?.

Donald Trump – comments caught on tape – no apology; elected President.

Al Franken – caught on pictures – at least he apologized……

Roy Moore – different (and far worse) category – and he is supported or castigized based on political affiliation.

Isn’t wrong wrong, regardless of party?

Not to Republicans, They can do no wrong. Just ask one and they will tell you their party is perfect and the any thing that is wrong with America is all the democratic s fault.

Dems destruction – Russians and Trump collusion (NONE) Clinton/Fbi/Doj/Mueller and Russians (can of worms opened) by the crooked democrats and now it’s coming back to bite them — TOO SWEET !

Just how drunk are you on a daily basis? This makes no sense.

It is a sad day for America when the accused are judged to be guilty by the court of public opinion. rememder the duke lacrosse team or how about the rolling stone rape. What about the so called bomber years back who had his life ruined. People do rush to judgement and people’s lives are destroyed. We can’t give up our rights to be judged in a court of law, even if lady justice scales are off kilter today.

Roy Moore destroyed his own life years ago. He is a card carrying Klan member who has forced himself on at least 9 women (and counting) who doesn’t deserve to represent this country. And, before you start, Al Franken was wrong, he admitted it, which was the right thing to do. Now I see the liar in the WH, is taking him to task for his actions. That is hypocrisy at its topmost point. The man who is on tape saying he can do anything to women because he is rich calling out another man.

This whole mess screams of hypocrisy on ALL sides. One is no better than the other. So just because someone says they are sorry makes it okay? Follow the trail and see how sincere he was when he said he was sorry when running for office, it’s his own words. It is disgusting what the picture shows for af. He should resign from office. What if she was your daughter or wife. And I believe I’ve heard him judging the behavior of others like he has done no wrong. Give me a break. He is no different than ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd making a sandwich out of a waitress, remember that? No one criticized them either. Trump is right , it is a swamp.

Hold on there buddy. Franken will get what he deserves. Just because he apologized doesn’t make what he did right. I agree with that. But, just because someone doesn’t admit to sexual assault doesn’t mean they aren’t guilty. Moore is a degenerate. He assaulted teenagers. He stalked them. He used his power to keep them quiet. He shouldn’t be in the United States Senate.

You just proved my original point. Has he had his day in court? Has he had the right to face his accusers. So using your logic bodacious, you are guilty of sexual abuse because someone told me you did so ten years ago. How’s that feel to you? Are you guilty??

So you would vote for him? You are the enabler. You are the accomplice.

You did not answer my post

Yes, I probably could be accused of sexual assault in the past. I would probably be guilty. I know very few men who couldn’t be accused of it.

This guy is a creep and anyone that supports him & defends him is a creep also. Have a little pride in your party republicans, shame this guy like a pedophile should be shamed.

He’s screwed

Here’s what’s really going on: https://youtu.be/FOt3oQ_k008?t=5

Isn’t it strange that his main accuser now says she can’t remember anything at all about the incident, but she knows it is true because she was told it was. Another made up lie by the liberal crooks.

Go figure, you are standing up for a pedophile all in the name of the republican party. What little respect we had for you is gone now.
At least the leaders of the republican party are not willing to stand up for a pedophile and are calling for him to step down. You on the other hand are endorsing his actions and that is just sick, you are just as disgusting as Moore himself.

And you support the clown from Minnesota and there are pictures of him

At least he is not feeling up 14 year girls like me the pedophile you support

I see you are to stupid to understand. She lied and admitted it. Typical Demonrat.

Are you bet, they’re all lying ! All the women are lying , the mall that kicked him out for hanging around and chasing young girls is lying too
You are such a fool and you’re just as disgusting as the pedophile you support!

You are just to stupid to understand plan English.

Not all Democrats are perverts, but ALL Perverts are Democrats. Just like the mass killers are.

All perverts are democrats, right! They’re the ones bragging about grabbing p****, and getting other republicrook perverts to steal the election for them.

Let me correct you Larry . “You are TOO stupid to understand PLAIN English” Maybe if you knew what English was it would be plainer how stupid you are.

I see it was just to difficult for someone with an infantile brain like your to understand wasn’t it pinhead?

Trump says nothing. Bannon’s guy. No waves. Ignore it as long as possible. Some leader. America better wake up soon. Mara has a spell over the entire nation, and the mantra of hard work and keeping your head down isn’t working. It’s time for enlightenment. It’s time for society to embrace a new way.

I am always leary of anybody who takes 40 years to become a victim

Understandable, but who would believe them then? A teenager vs. a prominent elected law enforcement official, in the 1980s? Nobody, and he knew it. That’s why he chose them, and why he got away with it for so long.

Had this guy NOT been a Bible thumping law and order hawk who undoubtedly has put people away in similar circumstances, I would entertain the idea of him truthfully making a case as to why society is too uptight concerning young women and sexuality….because after all the age of consent is 16 in that state, so the rules are the rules. BUT!…he wasn’t just a nice 30 year old guy who likes pretty young things…he was an assaulter, a stalker, and a district attorney. This guy is a lying, hypocrite monster who needs to be jailed. The cases he tried need to be re-tried.

He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not in the court of public opinion. Especially the opinion of a criminal liberal.

And yet President Obama and Hillary Clinton are guilty of crimes that only you and your ilk believe. No court of law there buddy.

Be patient Bodie. If we get an HONEST investigation the facts will reveal how crooked “crooked Hillary” really was.

I have been waiting for many years for that but it hasn’t come. Maybe it will, I don’t know but my original post was pointing out your ridiculousness asking for everyone to hold off judgement until it is decided in a court of law. That must hold true in your mind only if the accused is someone like you.

The same court of law that threw him off the bench, twice? We already know how he’ll do there, and they know him a lot better than we do.

“He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

Yes, he is innocent until proven guilty. Even a basement dwelling, pants poopin’, mommies boy with a 12 day on-line law course knows that much.
