MASON CITY – A Ward 4 listening post will be held on September 9, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the Mason City Baptist Church located at 1805 S. Wilson Avenue.
Members of the public may attend and ask questions of elected officials.

I apologize as I don’t usually like to comment about a person’s appearance, but Janet Solberg looks like a school lunchroom official that all the kids are scared of, or worse, she looks like she’s speaking at a Retired Clown Convention. Seriously, she needs to tone up her body and lose that hair. She may have been an attractive woman once…ONCE. Does anyone know if she smokes and drinks?
With some of the dumbest things ever uttered by an elected official coming from her mouth, it wouldn’t surprise me if Mrs. Solberg drinks or smokes (maybe more than cigarettes) on a daily basis. Now, according to these meeting minutes, she is basing her governing decision on her husband’s supposed health issues. I think people can see why I wanted this laughing stock to not represent me in the fourth ward, and why I ran against her to get her out. Her stupidity, coupled with her sold-out existence to the mayor, the chamber, and the “elite” sickened me to the point of running for office. It’s a shame she’s not on the ballot next November, I’d do it again.
I think you’d fare better as an At-Large candidate. Too bad Kuhn is the one up for re-election because I think you could work with him. You could always move to Clear Lake and take a stab at Callanan’s At Large position, or move into 3rd Ward and take on Jim Boehnke. Jim’s actually not a bad guy on the surface (be careful behind the scenes), but his position on loud pipes is completely WRONG. Someday when he grows up he’ll understand the error of his current ways. Hope he apologizes.

Matthew….. your pictures of the mayor and council are absolutely stunning. They accurately capture the persona of these bozos and enhance to story line. Great photography, a picture is worth a thousand words.
These were the best ones of each I had. Pretty much accurately portrays what we are stuck with around here, although Mr. Kuhn seems to do a pretty decent job.
Oh boy. There will be a lot of answers coming out of that.
