BREMER COUNTY – A Florida man exceeding the posted speed limit in this Northern Iowa county was stopped and cops discovered a load of meth.
On March 31, 2024 the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Highway 218 for a speeding violation. A probable cause search was conducted where approximately one pound of methamphetamine was located. Steven Lorentz (pictured at top), 62, of Winter Haven, Florida was placed under arrest for the following charges:
– possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a class B felony
– drug tax stamp violation class D felony
– two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor
– possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple Misdemeanor.
Lorentz is being held in the Bremer County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
