MASON CITY – A Mason City man now awaits sentencing on a charge of felony lascivious acts with a child.
On the evening of January 19, 2018, Mason City police went to a residence at 1444 North Federal Avenue to serve a warrant on 58-year-old Patrick Laverne Holt. After an investigation, Mason City police have accused Holt of felony lascivious acts with a child – fondle or touch, for a crime he allegedly committed in Mason City back in June of 2014.
On June 20, Holt was released under the supervision of the Department of Corrections. He was also served with a no-contact order to avoid the alleged victim in the case.
A jury trial was scheduled for May 22, 2018. Court records now show Holt will be sentenced July 24, 2018.
Holt, Patrick Lavern:

Give the man a break the kid more then likely enticed him. kids today are just running around oversexed and willing to get it anyway they can.
I have had to deal with this guy on several occasions and he can he a real A##hole. Hope he gets a real sentence for doing this.
Sick man. Believe me I know
I don’t know if he is guilty or not, but I do know the girl. She is a very troubled child. Neighbors won’t let their kids play with her.
I guess Walmart is going to lose one of their Sat sample people.Good thing to know he was able to hand them out to children.
