MESERVEY – Emergency responders are racing to Meservey just after noon today for an anhydrous ammonia leak that has left a man shirt of breath.
The incident is unfolding at 515 1st Street in Meservey. A truck driver made an emergency phone call at about 12:10 PM reporting an anhydrous ammonia leak and that he was having a hard time breathing. A Cerro Gordo deputy and Meservey Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
Mason City Fire Department was turned back minutes later when Meservey Fire Department personnel reported that they had the leak stopped.
