(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry Branstad today announced he will sign House File 215, the education reform bill, Monday, June 3, 2013 at 9 a.m. The bill signing will take place at North High School in Des Moines.
State percent of allowable growth (Salaries and benefits comprise over 80 percent of the average school district budget; allowable growth mainly funds teacher salaries and benefits):
The state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2010, is two percent.
The state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2012, is two percent.
The state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2013, is two percent.
The state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2014, is four percent.
