MASON CITY – Josh Schaben scored 19 points to lead Iowa Lakes to a 81-76 victory over NIACC in junior college men’s basketball action Saturday in the NIACC gym.
The Lakers (10-4 overall, 4-1 in the ICCAC) also received 16 points from Deondre Parks and 15 points from Kelly Madison.
NIACC was led by David Humphries (Adelaide, Australia) with 20 points. Sam Skogen (Mason City, Ia.) was next in line with 17 points.
Chris Davis and Mike Wagner both scored 10 points for NIACC (11-6, 0-3).
Davis moved into 24th place on NIACC’s all-time scoring list with 766 career points. He passed Art Andris (1973-75), who had 762 career points.
Kevin Graves (1981-83) ranks 23rd on the all-time list with 774 career points.
NIACC trailed 49-40 at the half.
NIACC returns to action Saturday, Jan. 19 at home against Southwestern.
