MASON CITY – The Mason City Parks Board will meet this week to discuss use of parks for RAGBRAI use.
The city has asked the Park Board to approve the use of the following parks for use during the RAGBRAI festivities scheduled for July 23rd: Central Park, East Park, Muse Norris Softball Complex, Parker’s Woods, MacNider’s Woods, and the Aquatic Center.
Also, the board may award a contract for more improvements to the East Park Band Shell.
Discussion will be held on the threat from the Emerald Ash Borer, a pest that is creeping into Iowa and destroying trees.
Another discussion will be held on the Jaycee’s and a project in Murphy Park.
