MASON CITY – Police were called to a Mason City convenience store, resulting in a suspect being placed under arrest.
The incident took place on February 29, 2024. At 3:43 PM that day at the Kwik Star convenience store, located at 1316 4th Street SW, police were called for a disturbance. Officers arrived and after an investigation, arrested 44-year-old Mardie Danyell Banks, last known address of Mason City, on a charge of public intoxication.
Banks (pictured at top) was jailed and soon pled guilty to the offense. He was ordered to pay $180.75 in fines and court costs.
Banks’ local rap sheet includes guilt on fifth-degree theft and domestic abuse causing injury.
