From Wisconsin Governor (and potential Presidential candidate) Scott Walker –

Recognizing that our Founders made our Constitution difficult to amend, I am reminded that it was first amended to protect our ‘First Freedom’ – the free exercise of religion. The First Amendment does not simply protect a narrow ‘right to worship,’ but provides broad protection to individuals and institutions to worship and act in accordance with their religious beliefs. In fact, the Wisconsin constitution explicitly protects the rights of conscience of our citizens. I can assure all Wisconsinites concerned about the impact of today’s decision that your conscience rights will be protected, and the government will not coerce you to act against your religious beliefs.
I call on the president and all governors to join me in reassuring millions of Americans that the government will not force them to participate in activities that violate their deeply held religious beliefs. No one wants to live in a country where the government coerces people to act in opposition to their conscience. We will continue to fight for the freedoms of all Americans.

Walker just needs to leave it alone and move on. They lost this one and spent way to much time trying to tell people what they should or should not do with their lives.

How does he think he can get a constitutional amendment ratified by 38 of 50 states when 36 states already have gay marriage? He’s living in a dream world.
He just committed political suicide although he may rally some support from the Bible Beaters early in the game. He gave a political gift not only to the dems but more importantly to moderate republicans, if there is such a creature these days.

That liberal state tried to re-call him 6 times and they failed every time. This guy is the real deal. A republican leader in a true liberal state is unusual, especially after the millions of dollars the liberals have spent trying to destroy him and get rid of him, they have lost the recall elections every time because what he is doing in that state is turning it around big time.

Walker was first elected in November of 2010, so you’re saying he’s been recalled 6 times in 4.5 years. Ya, right.
The ONE recall in 2012 was won by Walker because of the 30 Million he had(from outside the state) compared to the only 4 million(from inside the state) by his opponent.
