DALLAS COUNTY – A teenage Iowa SUV driver crossed the center line and collided with a motorcycle, killing the driver.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on Sunday, June 12, 2022. At 3 PM that day, a 2006 Toyota Forerunner driven by 16-year-old Judah Noble of Waukee was traveling westbound at 28926 360th Street in Van Meter, Iowa. Noble crossed the center line at this location into oncoming traffic and struck a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 39-year-old Jared Eklund of Ankeny, Iowa.
As a result of the collision, Eklund was killed. Noble was life-flighted to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
The accident remains under investigation.
