
MASON CITY — A Northern Iowa sex offender was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail this week after authorities served a warrant tied to an alleged sex offender registration violation.
Dale Lynn Hatfield, 72, with a Thornton, Iowa, address, was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail at 2:14 PM on June 23, 2026. Jail records show Hatfield was held on a charge of sex offender registration requirement violation, first offense.
