RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – Two Mason City drivers were cited by police and one was taken to the hospital after a two-car accident outside Clear Lake.
On October 2, 2024, at about 7:36 AM, a silver 2008 Chevy Impala being driven by 23-year-old Marissa Reid from Mason City was driving westbound on 310th Street just west of Dogwood Ave in Cerro Gordo County. There were vehicles in front of her that were slowing down and Reid did not see it and struck the rear of a Red 2010 Dodge Charger, which was being driven by 32-year-old Spencer Jordahl from Mason City.
Reid complained of neck pain but signed off with Medics and was later taken to Mercy ER by a family member.
Reid was issued a citation for failure to maintain control. Records show she is facing $210.25 in fines and court fees.
Jordahl was issued a citation for failure to prove security against liability. Records show he is facing $428.75 in fines and court fees.
